Papaya PDF

Terms of Service

Last updated August 27, 2026

These terms explain the rules for using Papaya PDF. By using the service, you agree to them.

Using Papaya PDF

Papaya PDF is software for opening, viewing, editing, creating, and exporting PDF documents. You may use it only in compliance with applicable law and these terms. You are responsible for the documents, content, and instructions you choose to process with the service.

Do not use Papaya PDF to violate another person’s rights, distribute malware, interfere with the service, attempt to bypass security controls, or access an account or document without permission.

Your documents and connected storage

Your documents remain yours. Papaya PDF does not claim ownership of them. Most document work happens locally on your device. Some optional features, such as AI-assisted document analysis, may process page images as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you connect Google Drive, Dropbox, or another storage provider, you authorize Papaya PDF to access only the permissions you approve for that connection. You are responsible for maintaining the right to access the connected account and its files. Those providers’ own terms and privacy policies also apply to your use of their services.

Accounts and security

Some features may require an account. Keep your sign-in information and devices secure, and tell us promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless it results from our failure to protect it.

Paid features

If we offer paid features, we will present the applicable price and billing terms before you are charged. Taxes may apply. Payments, cancellations, and refunds are subject to the terms shown at purchase and any required law.

Desktop licenses

A desktop license is issued to one individual, the licensee. That person may use it on computers they own or control for their own use. It is not a multi-user, team, resale, or shared license.

You may keep a backup of your license file, but you may not share, sell, transfer, publish, loan, or otherwise make the file or its entitlement available to another person. A desktop license may be verified locally and work without an internet connection; that convenience does not permit more than one person to use the same license.

A perpetual desktop license covers the desktop app builds released on or before its stated update-coverage date. It does not include web, mobile, or hosted services that require an active account. Removing a license from a Mac does not revoke it: the licensee may install their valid license again on an eligible computer.

Service changes and availability

Papaya PDF is evolving software. We may change, suspend, or discontinue a feature when reasonably necessary to improve the service, maintain security, comply with law, or operate the product. We will make reasonable efforts to avoid unnecessary disruption.

Our software and feedback

Papaya PDF and its software, branding, and other service materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service. They do not transfer ownership of Papaya PDF to you.

If you send us feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation. Please do not send confidential information that you do not want us to receive.

Disclaimers and limits

Papaya PDF is provided on an “as available” basis. We work to make it reliable, but cannot promise that every document, feature, or conversion will be error-free or uninterrupted. Keep copies of important documents and review your output before relying on it.

To the extent allowed by law, Papaya PDF is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or business opportunity arising from your use of the service. This does not limit liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post the updated version here and change the date above. Continuing to use Papaya PDF after an update means you accept the updated terms.
